I have a son.
And so, I mourn the loss of this son.
I only knew Jason Shay through the blogosphere and his posts on through amber lenses.
He was killed in action on September 3rd at the age of 22.

I have no children but still mourn the death of this brave young man — another of our best and brightest. My heart goes out to his parents.
