IUP Civil War and Lincoln Book Sale – Dude!

If you hadn’t noticed, I am a hopeless book acquirer. But, like most folks, I am watching my book budget these days. That said, I found a sale going on this month over at Indiana University Press that has some awesome deals. To commemorate the Lincoln Bicentennial, they’ve put books on sale about both Lincoln and the Civil War.

There are some serious deals over there. Example: One of my favorite books, The American Civil War and the Origins of Modern Warfare by Edward Hagerman – FIVE BUCKs. And FREE SHIPPING – if you buy $25 or more (I discovered). I couldn’t help myself and didn’t have any trouble making the $25 threshold.

Note to self. Buy more bookshelves.

    Rene,

They do actually have history books. They even have an entire section devoted to Civil War books with sub-sections under that: http://www.betterworld.com/Civil-War-C4868.aspx

    Rene,

I picked up five hardbacks myself from that sale. Indiana University Press is great about these, and unlike some other “sales”, this one is cut rate! I knew it was going to be a good one when I was excited before ever even leaving the $5 books!

    Truly it is horrible.

I’ve seen betterworld.com but haven’t been back to it for a while. Do they have history books?

It’s really horrible having to cap your book-spending allowance, isn’t it? I’ve had to do that as well…

A website you might be interested in is http://www.betterworld.com. I’ve picked up a lot of good books for really cheap there.
